Kevin Peter Blackburn is a historian and Associate Professor of History at Nanyang Technological University’s National Institute of Education (NIE). He has been teaching in Singapore since 1993, when he left the University of Queensland’s History Department to take up his current job. He teaches and investigates Southeast Asian and Australian history. His work explores subjects such as war, memory and the nation, oral history and heritage, as well as the history of education.
