Stephen Chia

Stephen Chia is a Director and Professor at the Centre for Global Archaeological Research, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Archaeology from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1997 and was a Special Student at the Department of Archaeology, Harvard University. He is currently the Chairman of the National Heritage Site Registration for Archaeology Committee, member of the National History Polemic Committee for the National Archives, the Honorary Curator for Archaeology of the Sarawak Museum, as well as a Council Member and Senior Representative for Southeastern Asia and the Pacific of the World Archaeology Congress.
