Abdul Gaffar Karim is a Lecturer in the Department of Government Studies, Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia. He completed his SIP in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Gadjah Mada University, his MA at Flinders University, South Australia, and is currently finalising his PhD at Gadjah Mada University. His research interests are in the sociology of religion and religion and politics in Indonesia.
