Alias Abdullah

Alias Abdullah is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of East Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. He teaches economy-related subjects for Japan and other East Asian countries such as China and South Korea, He was President of the Malaysian Japan Studies Association (MAJAS) for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 terms. He has also been a member of the Malaysia Japan Research Centre (MJRC) since its establishment in 2012, He received a bachelor’s degree in Personnel and Industrial Relations from Saint Louis University, USA in 1997, a Master’s in Agriculture Economic Information Management in 2006, and a PhD in BioProduction Science in 2012 both from Tottori University, Japan. His latest publications related to Japan includes: “Coronavirus Impact on Online Purchases Behavior in Japan,” “COVID-19: Implications on Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’S) in Japan” and “Japan’s Environment Pollutions Problem between 1950 to 1970.”
