Ameer Ali

Ameer Ali is lecturer in economics at the University of Western Australia. He taught at the University of Ceylon, Murdoch University, and at the University of Brunei Darussalam before coming to the University of Western Australia. He specializes in the development issues of Muslim countries. His monograph From Penury to Plenty: Development of Oil Rich Brunei, 1906 to the Present was published in 1996. He has published a number of articles in international journals including the Journal of Interdisciplinary Economics, the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, the American Journal of Islamic Social Sciences, and the Journal of Objective Studies and South Asia.
