Aniza Ahmad Azizuddin
Aniza Ahmad Azizuddin, famously known with her pen name Honey Ahmad, is a screenwriter, podcaster and kuih conservationist. She was on the writing team for the Emmy-nominated Saladin, Malaysia’s first fully animated series. She has written and produced over 8,000 hours of food content (one winning best super short at The New York Food Film Festival), including a food drama series called I Eat KL, which Asian Wall Street Journal called ‘a mouthwatering soap opera’. Her first film, which she co-wrote called Motif, featured a female cop on the trail of a small-town murder. In 2020, her radio script, Tujuh Hari Tengkujuh, was highly commended by the BBC World Service International Playwriting Competition. She loves local legends and reimagined Walinong Sari into an animation short, which has won Film Fest awards in Los Angeles, New York, Mexico, Chile and Japan. She also hosts the bookish podcast Two Book Nerds Talking and has authored two books on traditional Malay kuih.
