Annick Guénel

Annick Guénel is senior researcher at CNRS, Centre Asie du Sud-Est, France. After a Master’s in Microbiology, she turned to the history of biomedical Sciences and to their development in the context of the French colonial empire. She has authored several articles on the history of the Pasteur Institutes in Vietnam. Her interest in the medical history of this country goes beyond the mid-20th century and she deals with topics such as health systems and nationalism, traditional medicine, and globalization.
