Margaret Anthoney

Margaret Anthoney is a lecturer at the Faculty of Major Language Studies, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in Discourse Analysis (Japanese Language) at one of the national universities in Malaysia. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Japanese Language from Reitaku University of Japan. Her experience as an English Language teacher at primary level for 4 years and as a Japanese Language teacher at secondary level for 9 years and as a Japanese Language lecturer at tertiary level for two years have provided vast exposure to English and Japanese Language teaching and learning. Her publications and research involve issues related to foreign language acquisition, communicative language teaching and burnout. Her research interest is in discourse analysis.
