Mary Ida Bagus is Conjoint Fellow at CAPSTRANS (Centre for Asia Pacific Social Transformation Studies) at the University of Newcastle. Her PhD dissertation in anthropology (University of Newcastle, 2006) was titled “From the Margins of History: A Long Babad of Jembrana Bali”. Bagus has published many articles and book chapters on Bali.
