Mohd Rizal Palil

Mohd Rizal Palil is a Professor in Taxation at Faculty of Economics and Management, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Graduated from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, Doctor of Philosophy (Accounting and Taxation). He is currently lecturing undergraduate and postgraduate students in Accounting and Taxation at the School of Accounting, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He joined UKM since 1998. He holds the position of Professor at this institution and former Head of Accounting Programme. He is an active researcher and managed to secure several research grants since 2003 such as LRGS, FRGS, ERGS and other research grants offered by Ministry of Higher Education.

He has published five books. Among them were published by Oxford Press and Pearson-Prentice Hall. He has also published nearly 90 research articles in various international referenced journals. He has also taught various courses particularly for public servant from Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Works, National Audit Department as well as Malaysian Institute of Accounting. His research interests are public finance, fiscal policy, and tax administration internationally.
