Olaf Mörke was Chair for Early Modern History at the University of Kiel (Germany) from 1996 to 2018. His research is focused on governance in early modern Europe, Reformation history, and the history of ideas especially in Germany and Northern Europe. Professor Mörke has been a Fellow of the Netherlands Institute of Advanced Study (Wassenaar) and of the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg (Greifswald).
