Roswati Abdul Rashid is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Language and Communication, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. She obtained a diploma in Japanese Language Education from The Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Urawa, Japan, a degree in Business Administration, Ibaraki University, Japan and a Master’s Degree in Modem Languages, Universiti Malaya. She subsequently obtained a doctorate in Philosophy from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Her research interests are related to Japanese Language in tourism and the teaching and learning (T&L) of Japanese as a foreign language. She has written several books, modules, and journal articles. She was one of the founders of MAJLIS and served as the head of the Publication Bureau for the association.
